RORO 2010 moves to Bremen, Germany to benefit from the support and expertise of the Bremenports and Seaports of Niedersachsen.
A reputation as a place where innovations are made, the flourishing ports of Bremen, Bremerhaven and the eight seaports of Niedersachsen form the largest cargo hub between the Elbe and the Ems. In 2010 Bremerhaven will open its brand new Kaiser Lock Gate, further cementing its aim to be Europe's largest import/export vehicle port. The ports of Cuxhaven and Emden in Niedersachsen are further highly productive RoRo-ports in North-West Germany.
This thriving group of ports are the ideal backdrop to RORO 2010. They were visited by nearly 20,000 merchant vessels in 2008, and what's more Bremerhaven alone is capable of handling two million vehicles each year, Cuxhaven and Emden about 1.5 million cars per year.
