About Bremen
Bremen, Germany

RORO 2010 moved to Bremen, Germany to benefit from the support and expertise of the bremenports and Seaports of Niedersachsen.
A reputation as a place where innovations are made, the flourishing ports of Bremen and Bremerhaven and the nine seaports of Niedersachsen form the largest cargo hub in North-West Germany between the rivers Elbe, Weser and the Ems. In 2011 Bremerhaven will open its brand new Kaiserschleuse Lock, further cementing its aim to be Europe's largest import/export vehicle port. The ports of Cuxhaven and Emden in Niedersachsen are further highly productive RoRo-ports in North-West Germany.
This thriving group of ports was the ideal backdrop to RORO 2010. They were visited by nearly 15,000 merchant vessels in 2009, and what's more Bremerhaven alone is capable of handling two million vehicles each year, Cuxhaven and Emden about 1.5 million cars per year.
