Port of Nantes Saint-Nazaire's presentation

Based on the Loire Estuary, the Port of Nantes Saint-Nazaire with 29.8 millions tons in 2009 is France's fourth largest port authority behind Marseille, Le Havre, Dunkirk and ahead of Rouen, Bordeaux and La Rochelle.

Nantes Saint-Nazaire's logistic platform network nearby the port is connected to all transport modes : the river allows direct access to the hinterland center, the highway and railway network are linked to Trans-european network, the estuary has 2 international and freight airports located along by the estuary and the port infrastructure and shipping services allow worldwide connections.

Roro traffics are located in Montoir. A regular service, actually operated by CMHF and UECC and mainly used by Gefco for Peugeot Citroën's logisitic, links Montoir to Vigo (Spain). EADS with 2 plants set along by the estuary also uses the river and shipping services for its logistics. The port of Nantes - St Nazaire highly involved in the development of the motorways of the seas will soon welcome Louis Dreyfus's regular shipping line between Montoir and Gijón (Spain)
